The tattoo artist keeps a cloth handy to keep the area spic and span as he or she draws and fills the design. Excessive bleeding can happen if you have had something which thins your blood. A new tattoo will look better and hurt much less if you take proper care of it. Leave new bandages on for 2 hours at the very least. When you wash your new tattoo, use only your hands, a mild antibacterial liquid soap and lukewarm water.
